Gratitude in the Disappointment

Happy Thanksgiving Loves!

It's pouring rain here in So Cal! I can feel earth's gratitude for the water. Thank you, thank you. I am sure there is a huge sense of gratitude for the snow up in Tahoe. I can also sense my inner disappointment Ben had to cancel his trip down here with us and we are not spending the holiday in flip flops. Boo. I would be lying if I said I wasn't. Life sometimes rains disappointment, sadness, grief. And where did we ever get the idea that it was wrong, bad and a problem to be solved? I invite you right now if you are reading this to take five minutes to drop in with yourself with whatever you are feeling even if it's profound joy. Lately, I have been feeling a multitude of emotion, including anxiety and fear, none of it a problem although the mind thinks otherwise and some others I have shared with want to fix. But whatever this is, I am just letting it be for now, giving myself the support I need to be with it and in it I have experienced many precious moments that I would never have experienced otherwise, stories for a later time. I want to give you permission, but more importantly I encourage you to give yourself permission to sit with whatever it is you might be feeling and discover what these emotions are lovingly pointing at. I bet you will find the underlying gratitude. Enjoy!

Now I get to go help my mama with the 1st ever Thanksgiving gathering at her house with both of her kids and 3 grandkids. Plus my best friend from college with her family. Lucky Me! So grateful!!!

Lastly, why I really wanted to write, thank you all so much for those that continue to read my newsletters and attend my classes. It means so much to my heart for me to connect in this way.

I love you all!
Shari
